Description

MODfix and UNIfix is a system of osteosynthesis fixation screws with unique design features.

UNIfix Universal Fixation System

The UNIfix systems is comprised of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V fixation screws designed for oral and maxillofacial bone regeneration.

UNIfix General design features:

  • Screws are composed of macro- and micro-threads for optimal primary stability.
  • The screws are installed and removed using a hex driver, providing a very stable user interface.

  • Three kinds of screws (Tenting screws, Membrane fixation screws and Bone block fixation screws) provide versatility in all regenerative applications.
  • Two diameters of screws with anodized color coding, i.e. 1.2 mm (gold) and 1.5mm (blue) are suitable for various bone conditions, clinician preferences and ease of distinction based on color.

MODfix Modular Fixation System

The MODfix systems is comprised of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V fixation screws and complementary abutments designed for oral and maxillofacial bone regeneration.

MODfix General design features:

  • The fixation MODfix screws consist of two pieces: the screw and the abutment.
  • The screws have an external hex at the terminal end, allowing a driver with internal hex to engage the screw by fitting directly over the head of the screw. This allows for extremely stable control, during placement and removal of the screws.
  • Three kinds of abutments (Tenting abutment, Membrane fixation abutment and Bone block fixation abutment) provide versatility in all regenerative applications.
  • The screws are inserted when there is no bone graft, membrane or block graft, making screw installation much simpler.
  • For tenting and membrane fixation, after screw installation, a membrane is pierced through the screw and then the abutment is attach on top of the membrane. This allows the device to function for both tenting, as well as membrane fixation.
  • Screws are composed of macro- and micro-threads for optimal primary stability.
  • Two diameters of screws with anodized color coding, i.e. 1.2 mm (gold) and 1.5mm (blue) are suitable for various bone conditions, clinician preferences and ease of distinction based on color.
